CRYSTAL
« Crystal » est le projet le plus ambitieux du collectif What’s Up, nécessitant pas moins d’une semaine de montage pour une équipe de 12 personnes, et réalisée dans le cadre de la soirée du Nouvel an 2015 « Crazy Night » de Val Thorens, qui a compté ce soir là une affluence d’environ 10 000 personnes.
Cette structure titanesque a été réalisée pour le compte de l’office de tourisme de la station, afin de célébrer le titre obtenu pour la deuxième année consécutive de « meilleure station de ski au monde ».
Pensée spécifiquement pour rappeler le design du trophée des « World Ski Awards », chaque cristal d’une dimension de 7m à 10m de haut a été mis en lumière via un mapping vidéo original et créatif, donnant une dimension aérienne à cette construction hors norme.
Le cube surmontant l’ensemble, réalisé en structure Truss, a été entièrement habillé avec des bandeaux LED, pour une mise en lumière moderne, sophistiquée, et en complet accord avec la conception graphique de l’ensemble.
« Crystal » is the most ambitious project of the What’s Up collective, requiring more than a week for setting it up with a team of 12 people. It was achieved for the 2015 New Year’s Night “Crazy Night” at Val Thorens where 10 000 persons attended the show.
This gigantic structure was achieved for the Tourist Information Center of the resort in order to celebrate the title of “The World's Best Ski Resort” for the second consecutive time.
It was specifically designed to recall the design of the “World Ski Awards” trophy. Each crystal is from 7 to 10 meters high and was lit up by an original and creative video mapping that gave an ethereal dimension to this outstanding structure.
The cube above the architectural ensemble, made in Truss structure, was fully covered with LED strips to get a modern and sophisticated lighting, completely matching the graphic design of the whole ensemble.
